Runner-up finish in Turkey Bowl XVIII at Springfield
Kyle Steffens returned to the DIRTcar UMP Modified ranks over the weekend with a visit to Springfield (Mo.) Raceway for the Turkey Bowl XVIII.
With a pair of heat races scheduled for Friday night, Steffens backed up a heat race win in the first round with a strong eighth-to-second outing in the second round.
Lined up second for the $5,064-to-win Turkey Bowl XVIII, Kyle led laps early before ultimately crossing the line in second in the 30-lapper. He joined race-winner Terry Phillips and Zack VanderBeek on the podium.
