Kyle Steffens notches seventh-place finish in Silver Crown's debut Salt City
Kyle Steffen's pursuit for the USAC Silver Crown National Championship continued on Friday afternoon for the Murphy Tractor & Equipment Salt City 100 at Salt City Speedway (Hutchinson, Kan.).
After a scheduled practice day on Friday, Steffens turned in the ninth-fastest qualifying effort overall on Saturday, which positioned him on the fifth row for the 100-lap feature. Steering forward two positions on the half-mile dirt oval, Kyle notched a seventh-place finish.
Kyle is currently eighth in the latest USAC Silver Crown National Championship point standings.
